General Riddermark Threads

The Throne Room

The Throne Room is a loose RPing thread and an entirely In Character place - an occasion for all Rohirrim, and indeed those of other races, to mix with the King and Queen and with their fellows in a more formal setting. This is a courtly role play, an occasion for you to interact with your Rulers, in the sublime setting of the Golden Hall itself. Think why your character might visit Meduseld. Is it because it is your first time in Edoras and you wish to see the dwelling of your King and Queen? Is it because you wish to pledge your sword to your Rulers? You may also inform us of your comings and goings, but this should also be put into an IC format. But even if it's formal, don't hesitate to bring in a new plot or storyline. Let things happen, use your imagination and creativity to make this thread as interesting as possible!

The Gaedrian of se Mark

This thread is the place to post your ideas for new threads, new games or new RPGs. The Rulers of the Mark will discuss your proposals and get back to you as soon as possible. Your ideas may be serious or silly and light-hearted. Other kingdom members are welcome to give their thoughts on a proposal. You can also use this thread to make general suggestions for improvement for the kingdom or poke the Rulers about things you would like to see changed. The Rulers would also love to get your feedback about what’s happening in the kingdom on a regular basis. So, why not pop into the Gaedrian and let us know if you like the new game or RPG that just opened. Please take your new ideas for the kingdom into this thread, because we always need new ideas - from the members for the members.

KPs

KPs is the abbreviation for Kingdom Pages and as the thread title suggests, this is a planning thread for new KPs. If you would like to help out - be sure to stop by and make your interest known or suggest a new page. There is always a need for people willing to collect information, put it together, proof-read or code.

Helm's Horn - Contacts and Celebrations

Helm's Horn is the main directory of Rohan. Here kingdom members can leave their own and look up contact details for their fellow Riders, both email and instant message. This thread is also for leaving birthdates and celebration dates which are celebrated monthly in the Riddermark Remembers.

The Riddermark Remembers

The Riddermark Remembers is a monthly thread honouring Riders with special dates, Birthdays, Plazaversaries, Cavalry-versaries, and Rider-versaries. Come to honour others as well as check for your own messages on your day.

Tribute and Tidings

This thread has several purposes ~
1) The Rulers will post their tribute lists here ~ so this is the place to go when you have noticed a sudden inexplicable increase in your amount of fanatic points
2) Come and congratulate everyone who has received points for great contributions.
3) The Rulers will also post general announcements here that concern the kingdom as a whole.
4) This is also the place to go to inform your fellow kingdom members and the Rulers if you are planning to be absent for a longer period of time.
You are also welcome to nominate other Rohirrim or other kingdom members for tribute in this thread. When you do so, please tell us the name of the person who deserves a little jingle in their pockets for an exceptional post and please tell us where said post was made, preferably with a link and the date.

Edoras Square - General announcements

Edoras Square is the place for invitations and other IK announcements for the people of the Mark. Threadrunners from other kingdoms post their invitations to new RPGs, games and other activities in this thread. If you'd like to see what's new in Rohan and in the other kingdoms, this is the place to go.

Newbie of the Month

Rider of the Month

In this thread you find yourself surrounded by a grand hall which, hanging from it's many walls, are pictures of previous Riders of the Month. Each month, on a mission of being sneaky, ellaborate watchful eyes or just by learning all one can about all those great riders here in the Mark, one a month is choosen to be awarded this honor. To get that month of 'speciality' for doing so much for Rohan, or anyplace else is in and of itself something many have achieved thus far. Their month begins on the 1 st and a new one is then choosen after a much enjoyed reign.

SCRs

A new thread for the SCRs (Special Character Ranks) is opened at the beginning of each new month. In this thread one or more members of the Riddermark are honoured for their worthy contributions to the kingdom. They receive a special icon for the duration of one month. Everyone may post their congratulations and well-wishes in the thread.

The Raedboda

This thread is where the Raedboda, Rohan’s monthly newsletter, is published to a waiting Kingdom. All the latest issues can be found in here, and readers can leave their comments on the current edition.

The Raedboda Editor's Office

The place where all the plotting and planning for the next edition of the Raedboda takes place. Anyone interested in writing for the Raedboda should drop by here – there are always articles open, and the editors love to hear suggestions for new ones! Inside the Office is a list of reports, each marked to show whether someone is writing it or if it is free, as well as information on deadlines.

Riddermark Ærendgewrit

As you make your way along the streets of Edoras, you come upon a building filled with people bustling inside and out. There is a line of horses tied outside, and the sign above the large wooden door reads Riddermark Ærendgewrit. It is to this building where all Rohirrim run, walk, or ride to collect and send their letters. Rohan’s fastest steeds and riders deliver these letters, riding day and night to make sure Rohan’s fine citizens can keep up with their many correspondences. This is the place where the Rohirrim receive their letters from other kingdom members and post their own letters to the citizens of Rohan. If you'd like to send a letter to a member of a different kingdom, you'll need to visit this kingdom's post office thread. The appropriate links are conveniently located in the opening post of the Ærendgewrit thread.

Riddermark Photo Thread

This is the thread where you may post pictures of your RL self and comment on pictures of other members. It is for Rohirrim, ex-Rohirrim and R/A/Ms only and for the protection of the younger members, only members 15+ (RL) years of age are allowed to post their pictures. To post your picture, simply upload it to your supporting member folder (if you are a Support Member of the Plaza) or upload it to a picture hosting website such as photobucket.com. If you need help posting your photos, don't hesitate to ask or send your photo to the Ruler e-mail account and the Rulers will help you out.

Riddermark Image Directory

The purpose of the thread is to provide an image resource for thread runners to add photos and art work to their threads. The intent is to store artwork and photography produced by our very own Riders; thread runners then can access these images to decorate and add interest to the opening of their threads. The purpose is twofold. As a thread runner you are able to have access to beautiful art and photos that fellow Riders have created to enhance the look of your thread. It also provides the artists with a chance to have their works shown in a different and interesting format. Another function of the thread is to provide a place for requests for images such as banners for contests or games. If you want to run a contest for those types of needs this is the place to do it.

Help Wanted

The Rulers of the Mark will use this thread to announce openings in the kingdom. It may be an open threadrunner position, a position for guild or IK team leadership or a temporary position, like the planning of a festival. Whenever this thread appears on the front page again, be sure to have a look and send us your application. Further details on how to apply are specified in the thread itself.

Threadrunners

This is the thread for all threadrunners of the Mark. It is used to ask the Rulers for quick thread title changes. This is also the place to go if a threadrunner needs to have an opening post edited, a banner or picture added, or some posts deleted. Any other questions that may arise will also be answered by the Rulers as soon as possible.
